We want to help you find discount airfare if possible, so most of our suggestions are geared toward that goal.  We offer links to some of the most trusted travel sites on the Web, such as Travelocity (think of the commercials with the plucky garden gnome) and Expedia (think of the catchy jingle, “Expedia, Dot Cooommm!”).  But we also encourage our readers to constantly look for new and better ways of getting discount domestic airfare.  If you find a better way to fly than what you read about here, let us know.

We recommend that you get domestic plane ticket quotes from as many carriers and third-party websites as you can.  You never know where the big discounts are unless you look.  The more you look, the more deals you are likely to find.  Trust us when we say that it’s well worth an extra hour or two of effort if you can find a better deal than the one you get from the first place you consult.
